getting started with html

so, my stupid brain thought the tutorial as a whole would follow a linear path and use the things created in each chapter as assets for following chapters. the moment i figured out that this wasn't the case, i decided to wipe my created tutorial page for each chapter - way too lazy to create a separate page for each chapter - well, guess what: in hindsight i think this was a stupid idea, because after like two or three chapters i decided i wanted to approach things differently, i.e. have a little record of each stage of my progress to look back to eventually and see how much i sucked (how much more than future-me).

for the purpose of recreating the tutorial up to the point where i actually am right now, i decided to take a little shortcut, at least for this chapter.

here's the prompt for this exercise:

[...] sharpen your skills by implementing the following tasks:

d-did someone say something about delicious pancakes?

and this concludes this chapter of the turorial! an absolute (pan)cakewalk :) and yes, if you followed along the previous tutorial section you might have already figured out that i copied the style.css for this section (and the start page) and that i am expanding on it a little for any section that doesn't have its own css-file, since otherwise the pages would look even more horrible than they do now. the final webpage is not intended to be in magicant-pink, it's just that i think settling on a final style in this early stage is probably impossible, since none of this is even nearly done and i do not yet have a solid idea about where i want to go with any of this in the future.
