  1. Install Gentoo

    • Install base system (according to the Gentoo AMD64 Handbook)
    • Change TTY font (/etc/conf.d/consolefont)
    • Configure Grub
      • Set custom font -> sudo grub-mkfont --size 32 --output /boot/grub/fonts/my_font.pf2 /path/to/font.ttf
      • Set custom background image
    • Set OpenRC brightness settings -> Solution
    • Continue with advanced sections of the Gentoo Handbook
    • Configure custom kernel

  2. Install KDE Plasma

    • Configure SDDM
      • Set resolution -> Didn't really have to configure anything on Wayland tbh
      • Scaling
      • Refresh rate
      • Change PFP
      • Set background
    • Configure Plasma
      • Set dark theme
      • Set power options
        • AC
        • Battery
        • Low battery
      • Set screen lock options
      • Change mouse cursor
      • Set keyboard shortcuts
      • Make battery percentage show permanently
      • Move default panel to top
      • Import + set wallpaper(s)
      • Add workspaces
      • Format Date + Clock widget
      • Centre Date + Clock widget
      • Add CPU Individual Core Usage widget
      • Add + colourise CPU Usage widget
      • Add + colourise RAM usage widget
      • Hide unnecessary icons in System Tray widget
      • Remove Peek at Desktop widget
      • Add Panel Colouriser widget
        • Disable panel background (to make panel transparent)
