12th:

Offline:

• No work today – blessed with a full week of vacation (deducted from my overtime account).
• Woke up feeling well rested.
• Dad greeted me with a snarky "You're finally up, eh?" – asked him if this was really the only thing he is able to say whenever I wake up; how about "Good morning" or "How are you today?" to spice things up (the sarcasm went above his head, of course).
• Remotely de-activated online banking smartphone app (smartphone recently broke) and activated online banking through web browsers with their silly photo QR scanner that was delivered by mail today.
• Met with Carrie, we chatted about sustainability of modern technology and rejecting the on-going data harvesting scam through apps and services of all kinds; chatted about work and the anxiety regarding the nearing end of work probation time. Made plans to meet again in July.
• Youngest sibling came to visit, we chatted about a wide variety of things. Always happy to see him. Unfortunately he's been rather busy as of late. Looking forward to hanging out again soon.
• Found myself looking forward to Summer a lot more than in previous years. Feels like healing.
• Mum asked for help with setting up a plastic plane for her greenhouse on Friday.
• Gramps mentioned that he still remembered the night of my mum's wedding. He seemed happy. I should spend more time with him; he no longer understands a word of what the people are saying on TV. He needs more mental stimulation.
• Reminded Mum not to be so impatient with gramps – he's not to blame for his dementia. I tried to be more gentle with my reminder, this seems to have worked better. Only time will tell.

Desktop:

• Deactivated unused sound cards in audio settings to de-clutter audio settings on desktop panel
• Tried installing aur/ddate and aur/ddate-git, both of which failed to install (I don't think either of them is even maintained anymore? Not sure, will look into this another time)
• Installed extra/vscode-html-languageserver and extra/vscode-html-languageserver packages for Kate's LSP Client
• Changed CapsLock to function as CTRL key and CTRL key to function as Hyper key
• Assigned CTRL+E to Kate's "Expand abbreviation" function for HTML tag autocompletion
• Re-added Russian (Polyglot and Reactionary) input group and input method

• Mounted Neocities WebDav in Dolphin
• Resurrected website
• Made minor changes to "page created on…"/"page last updated on…" sections (no more retro Ubuntu text boxes, sorry)
• Updated new page template
• Created log
• Created first log entry
• Created to-do column
